Newsletter service privacy disclosure

(ART. 13 PRIVACY CODE)

Pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree 196 of 30 June 2003, the "Privacy Code" (hereinafter, the "Code"), we inform you that the information and data provided with your application for registration and subscription to the newsletter service of the site operated by Register.it ("Site") will be processed in accordance with the provisions of that Code.

Given the commercial nature of the service requested by the user, the purpose for processing this information is summarized as follows:

   a) establishing contacts on request by interested parties with the users and customers who are interested in using the services provided or otherwise promoted online by the data controller;

   b) enabling registrants to request and subsequently receive Site newsletters via e-mail; these newsletters contain promotional, commercial, or general information, or specific content as requested by the user

   c) responding to user requests for information about the contents of the newsletter and allowing the data controller to manage the contacts requested by users.

Given the commercial nature of the service, we inform you pursuant to Article 130(4) of the Code that our company may use the electronic mail information you provide upon registering and requesting the Newsletter service without being obliged to request your prior consent. One of the purposes of using this information is to promote services similar to the ones for which you have registered. However, you may deny authorization for further processing of this nature at any time when you receive any notice (regarding services similar to the ones for which you are registered) that we will send you pursuant to the foregoing. You can do so by sending us an e-mail message to the following address: http://we.register.it/newsletter_sbscr/unsubscribe.php, and we will stop sending you all notices from that time on.

The Newsletter service offered on the Site gives users the possibility of providing the e-mail address of third parties that are interested in receiving information and/or the Newsletters on their behalf. The user takes note that a third party's e-mail address is a form of "personal data" pursuant to current law and that providing the e-mail address of a third party recipient of the commercial message represents a form of processing of personal data for which the user becomes the data controller, assuming all consequent obligations and liability under the law. In this regard, the user guarantees our company that the provided e-mail address may be subsequently used upon acquisition from the user, who provides it in full compliance with the rules set out in the Privacy Code. In this regard, the user fully indemnifies us against any complaint, claim, request for damages in consequence of the processing, etc. that we might receive from the owner of the e-mail address indicated by the user in violation of applicable personal data protection laws.

We also inform you that your personal data may also be communicated - in addition to the cases were this notice is legally mandatory - to the subcontractors whose services are neces-sary and strictly associated with provision of the services for which you are registered. Your data will not be disclosed.

Pursuant to Article 13(1)(d), we also inform you of the persons or classes of persons to whom your personal data may be communicated or otherwise disclosed in their capacity as data pro-cessors, and solely for the purposes indicated hereinabove: employees of our company and the computer technicians that operate our servers.

We inform you that providing your personal data for all the purposes listed above is optional, but failure to provide them might render it impossible to provide the requested services and/or information.

The data controller is the company Register.it S.p.A., with registered office in Florence, Piazza Pietro Annigoni 9/b, postal code 50122.

We inform you that certain technologies and/or techniques on the web site designed to access information stored on the terminal of a subscriber or user in order to store information or mon-itor user operations will be used solely for legitimate technical storage of the data and only for the time strictly necessary to communicate or provide the requested answers. We also inform you that you may always deactivate these web navigation tracking/marking systems by modi-fying the settings of your browser, and that you may object to this type of processing by noti-fying the data controller.

The persons to whom the personal data refer may obtain confirmation at any time that those data exist or not and information regarding their content and origin, verify that they are exact, or request that they be updated, modified, or corrected (Article 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003).

Pursuant to that same clause, users have the right to request the deletion, transformation into anonymous form, or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, and to oppose their processing for legitimate reasons in any event.

The requests will be made to the data processor without formal procedures by sending a notice to the applicable physical address.
