Starting Outlook 2007

To use the certified SMTP service, you will have to configure your mail client by setting up the SMTP parameters that you received during the activation procedure, that is:

  • Host SMTP: authsmtp.domainname.net
  • Username: smtp@domainname.net
  • Password: the password you entered during activation of the certified SMTP service.

You will be able to view your data at any time by clicking on the 'Manage your certified SMTP' in your Control panel.

Properties

To correctly set up the certified SMTP with Outlook 2007, follow these easy steps:

1) Open Outlook 2007 and select 'Tools' from the main menu

2) Select 'Account Settings' from the 'Tools' menu

3) Select 'New'

4) Select 'Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP' and click on 'Next'

5) Select 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types' and click on 'Next'

6) Select the account for which you are going to set up the certified SMTP service and click on 'Next'

7) Select 'Internet E-mail' and click on 'Next'

8) Enter your email address and the configuration parameters you received during the certified SMTP service activation procedure and click on 'More Settings'

9) Go to the 'Outgoing server' and enter your Username (Account name) and Password to access the certified SMTP service, and click on 'OK'
